The Supreme Court did not take up the hearing on the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-PG (NEET-PG) case yesterday due to shortage of time as there were other pending cases before the court.

The Medical Council of India (MCI) expects that the case would be taken for hearing today. If the hearing is not taken up today, there is every chance that the verdict on the case will be further delayed as the next Supreme Court hearing will be only on or after Nov 27th. Since no ruling has come against NEET-PG until now, the MCI has announced that NEET-PG will commence as scheduled from today(23rd November, 2012) onwards.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala has clarified that the admissions to the Undergraduate medical courses from the academic year 2013 will be based purely on the marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-UG(NEET-UG).
